About

James Rowbotham Who I Am

James Rowbotham is a lifelong San Francisco Bay Area local who grew up in Alamo and knows the community inside and out. He has helped clients with everything from securing their very first home to working alongside prestigious developers and negotiating luxury deals, including properties over $6.5 million in San Francisco.
James works with a wide range of clients, first-time buyers, families looking for their next chapter, seasoned investors, and veterans using VA benefits. No matter the price point, he focuses on making the process straightforward, stress-free, and tailored to each client’s needs.

Before real estate, James spent two decades in public service as both a U.S. Army veteran and law enforcement supervisor. That background taught him the value of hard work, clear communication, and staying calm under pressure, skills that now help him get results for his clients.

Alongside his sister and business partner, Zara Rowbotham, James has also co-hosted on HGTV, sharing their expertise and love for real estate with a national audience. As a veteran and former law enforcement officer, he is proud to give back to veterans, first responders, teachers, and healthcare workers.

Outside of real estate, James is active in the aviation community, often flying his own Cessna Skywagon, and enjoys traveling with his wife and two young sons.

For James, real estate is about more than transactions, it’s about building relationships and helping people make confident moves toward their goals.
